They were probably Hoopoes.
The choughs would be red-billed choughs.
The pink fronted birds would probably be red-fronted rosefinches.
Look out for the ibisbill. That is a bird exclusive to the Himalayas with a down-curved red bill like a curlew. We saw them in Assam.
